IMPORTANT NOTE

A solid understanding of vintage garment construction is highly recommended before attempting this pattern.

Patterns from the 19th and early 20th centuries—like this one—offer much less instruction than modern patterns. Designers of the time assumed that home seamstresses already had the skills to construct garments without detailed directions.

As such, you may find that:

  • Facings, linings, and trims are either missing or sparsely documented.

  • Armholes tend to be tighter and smaller than in modern garments.

  • Patterns run small compared to contemporary sizing and assume corsets or proper undergarments are being worn.

To ensure a proper fit, please make a mock-up (toile) from muslin or other test fabric and adjust the pattern to your individual figure before cutting your final fabric.

These patterns are reproduced directly from the original source material with no changes, to preserve historical accuracy.

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND

This is an exact copy of the original vintage pattern and may contain formatting quirks, original drafting errors, or omissions.

While I have sewn some of these patterns myself, I have not tested every one, and I cannot guarantee their perfect fit or accuracy. As with all garments, it's best to create a mock-up first.
