IMPORTANT NOTE

⚠️ A solid understanding of vintage garment construction is highly recommended.

Patterns and fashion publications from this era assumed the home seamstress had the experience necessary to complete garments without detailed instructions. As a result, pattern pieces for facings, linings, and trim are often missing, and instructions are minimal or entirely absent.

Additional things to consider:

  • These patterns run small by modern sizing standards.

  • They were drafted with the expectation that corsets and other period undergarments would be worn underneath.

  • Armholes in particular are higher and tighter than modern garments.

It is crucial to make a mock-up (toile) in muslin or other test fabric before cutting into your fashion fabric. Adjustments for your individual fit should be made at this stage.

This pattern has been reproduced exactly as it appeared in the original publication, with no changes made to preserve its historical integrity.

🧵 Prior sewing experience and knowledge of vintage construction methods is strongly encouraged.

Please note:
This is not a finished garment, and the original documentation and physical pattern are not included.

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND

This is an exact copy of the original vintage pattern and may contain any original formatting errors or inaccuracies.

While I have sewn up some of these patterns, I have not tested them all, and therefore cannot guarantee a perfect fit or flawless construction.

As always, it’s best to make a mock-up in test fabric before starting your final garment.
