This PDF is for a replicated pattern sized to fit a 10 Year Old/approx. 28 inch chest (go by bust size not age). This 1912 reproduction sewing pattern features a pinafore to slip over a dress. Pinafore has rounded neckline and flutter sleeves. Labeled as 'Tablier de Court Pour Fillett' in La Mode Illustree, this coverup would be worn to protect a pretty dress from spills and ink. Add trim or lace to dress it up, pinafore secures in back with cross over straps which can be adjusted to fit a slightly larger or smaller wearer. Optional ruffle can be added to the lower hem. SUGGESTED MATERIALS: Cotton Sateen, plain or printed cottons, linen and twill, denim or light-weight woolens for more stable wear.
