From 1928, Per the envelope: The yoke to which the fronts are gathered gives these side-closing bloomers the smooth fit desirable in an undergarment. Elastic is inserted through the hem at the upper back edge, also through the hems at lower edges. Facings are provided to reinforce the front and back.
