See below for a (LONG) review of this pattern - there are lots of construction notes so I left it as written:
Right off the bat, the length is much longer than it seems in the illustration, it is ankle length. There are also tabs extending from the top of the coat fronts that did not have any corresponding tabs on the facing so I cut those off. The pattern only gives layout and yardages for doing the coat in one solid color with no contrast. I used 1-3/4 of a yard to make the contrast. The pattern shapes are simple, with only one set of darts to be made in the coat fronts. It is designed to be unlined, although the instructions do mention how to line it if desired. The cut is loose, so no fussy fitting is required. There are no pockets to deal with, and the pieces fit together well. I am also very pleased with how VPLL had the necessary markings drawn on, they are printed in a second color to make them more distinguishable from the cutting lines. I am very pleased with the end result, I got a ton of compliments on it.

**PLEASE KEEP IN MIND**
This is an exact copy of the original vintage pattern and as such may retain any original errors or miscalculations in formatting native to the original pattern. While I have made up some of these patterns, I have not tested them all out and cannot attest to their accuracy or perfect fit. As with all garment construction, it is best to make a mock-up for fitting in test fabric prior to cutting and constructing with your final fashion fabric.
