This replicated pattern is sized to fit a 36 inch bust. This 1927reproduction sewing pattern features a dainty little warm-weather frock in a pretty figured voile. The neck frill and foundation bodice of plain voile or georgette are bound to match the rest of the dress, which consists of a short-sleeved Magyar bodice joined to the skirt. This is gathered across the front only. The foundation bodice is cut with proper shoulders and forms the vest, so there are no straps to slip out of place. Photo #3 and #4 show this dress with seamstress modifications at neckline/collar. SUGGESTED MATERIALS: Crepes, Pique, Voile, Georgette Sheers Or Other Light Weight Fabrics Dress As Shown 36 Inch Wide Material For Frock 2-5/8 Yards 36 Inch Wide Material Frill 1-1/4 Yards 36 Inch Wide Material For Binding 1/2 Yard See below for a review of this pattern: "Funky but workable! I made up this dress as cut out by another seamstress, so a lot of my problems could have been solved if she made sure the fabric grain was square before cutting! Still, I did run into a few issues - The magyar sleeves look pretty funky, at least in a dainty silk chiffon. I ended up cutting them off and finishing the armhole in a normal tank top style. Overall, the dress works well, but has some funky bits. Directions are sparse!" This Mab's Fashion pattern was originally created by Dec. 30, 1929 and has been re-digitized into it's current format. This is an exact copy of the original vintage pattern and as such may retain any original errors or miscalculations in formatting native to the original pattern.  While I have made up some of these patterns, I have not tested them all out and cannot attest to their accuracy or perfect fit.  As with all garment construction, it is best to make a mock-up for fitting in test fabric prior to cutting and constructing with your final fashion fabric.
