This replicated pattern is sized to fit a 26 inch waist.
This 1922 reproduction sewing pattern features sports knickers with front welt pockets and wide buttoned cuffs which are worn below the knee. Legs are rather billowy with a wide seat and would not present much issue to adjust for a slightly larger waist. Knickers fasten with button facings on both right and left side front. Directions for blouse shown is NOT included. These knickers were not only worn for tennis or golf, but also for fashion. SUGGESTED MATERIALS: Tweeds, Lightweight woolens, Twill, denim, linen, cottons
Knickers as shown: 36 Inch Wide Material - Without Nap 2-3/8 Yards 40 Inch Wide Material - Without Nap 2-1/4 Yards
50 Inch Wide Material - Without Nap 1-1/2 Yards
Photo #4 shows the pocket application for the front of the knickers - directions call for doing this step after the side seams are completed, our tester found it easier to apply the pocket first.

**PLEASE KEEP IN MIND**
This is an exact copy of the original vintage pattern and as such may retain any original errors or miscalculations in formatting native to the original pattern. While I have made up some of these patterns, I have not tested them all out and cannot attest to their accuracy or perfect fit. As with all garment construction, it is best to make a mock-up for fitting in test fabric prior to cutting and constructing with your final fashion fabric.
