This PDF is for a replicated sewing pattern sized to fit a 42 inch bust/45 inch hip and features a Smartly Simple Dress that wraps its bodice in tuxedo styling. The collar with its long, melded line makes it especially desirable for the larger woman. The curved seaming of the joining of the bodice and skirt, does much toward minimizing the width through the hips. It's an opportunity to have a smart linen frock for general wear whose cost will be very small. It will place you in the 'know' of fashion. SUGGESTED MATERIALS: Crepes, Pique, Linen, Taffeta, Bengaline, Velvet, Satin, Silk, Rayon Dress As Shown: 39 Inch Wide Material - 4-1/2 Yards 27 Inch Wide Contrast Material For Collar 1/4 Yard See below for a review of this pattern: "I enlarged this pattern to a 52 bust/hips and made it up in vintage polka dot linen. As shown it is a morning/house dress. The linen polka dots took it into the afternoon. What a beautiful dress it turned out to be. It is easy and fits well on the full figure. Have seen a similar dress in a 1931 catalog." This syndicated pattern was originally created by Dec. 30, 1939 and has been re-digitized into it's current format.
