What a find! I needed a pattern of a dress...

What a find! I needed a pattern of a dress from the 1930s for a costume for the Baronness in our production of The Sound of Music. Luckily, this pattern was just her size. I am a moderately advanced costume sewist and I was able to whip this up in about a day of intensive sewing. We opted to keep the neckline clean, so I finished it with a simple facing. We also wanted different sleeves, but it was great to start with the given shape. The real beauty of this pattern is the V shaped waistline and attached sash. It came out so beautifully. My Baronness is fantastic and this dress totally does her justice. Thank you so much for offering this pattern!

Wonderful high quality vintage reproduction pattern. I made it with an altered neckline and shortened waist tie but stuck to the original pattern for the rest of it. Love this dress, can't wait to order more patterns!
