THIS IS A PDF SEWING PATTERN for printing at home or with a print shop like www.tapefreepatterns.com.

Once purchased, your download will include the following files:
1) Tape diagrams
2) 9 pages of color directions
3) US Pattern prints on 5 pages
4) A4 Pattern prints on 5 pages
5) A0 Large format/print shop pattern - 1 sheet

Print only the file necessary (US or A4) for your location. Pages will need to taped together, but once assembled, pieces are full sized and ready to use.

This PDF features a replicated pattern sized to fit a 21 inch head. This 1938 reproduction pattern features two hats, Glengarry-style Scotch cap with ribbon streamers at back or a dart-fitted pointed top cap with stitched seams at front and back and ribbon bow trim. When produced, this was labeled an 'easy to make' pattern.

Suggested materials include: Soft woolens, velveteen, shantung, flannel, Lyons-type velvet, rayons, tweed, ribbed silk, linen, camel's hair, pique.

Fabric required for either cap is less than 1/2 yard, ribbon embellishment varies, and crinoline is recommended for View A. Extra fabric will be needed for matching plaids.

While I have made up some of these patterns, I have not tested them all out and cannot attest to their accuracy or perfect fit. As with all garment construction, it is best to make a mock-up for fitting in test fabric prior to cutting and constructing with your final fashion fabric.
