This replicated pattern is sized to fit a 21 inch head. This 1938 reproduction pattern features two hats, Glengarry-style Scotch cap with ribbon streamers at back or a dart-fitted pointed top cap with stitched seams at front and back and ribbon bow trim. When produced, this was labeled an 'easy to make' pattern. Suggested materials include: Soft woolens, velveteen, shantung, flannel, Lyons-type velvet, rayons, tweed, ribbed silk, linen, camel's hair, pique. Fabric required for either cap is less than 1/2 yard, ribbon embellishment varies, and crinoline is recommended for View A. Extra fabric will be needed for matching plaids. This Vogue pattern was originally created by Dec. 30, 1939 and has been re-digitized into it's current format. **PLEASE KEEP IN MIND**

This is an exact copy of the original vintage pattern and as such may retain any original errors or miscalculations in formatting native to the original pattern.  While I have made up some of these patterns, I have not tested them all out and cannot attest to their accuracy or perfect fit.  As with all garment construction, it is best to make a mock-up for fitting in test fabric prior to cutting and constructing with your final fashion fabric.
