THIS IS A PDF SEWING PATTERN FOR PRINTING AT HOME: This PDF is set to print on either US letter size (8-1/2 x 11) sheets or A4 international pages. A0 (large format) version is also included. For accuracy in printing, it is recommended you have the latest version of Adobe Reader. Once purchased, your download will include the following files: 1) A 'read me first' page with downloading help and layout guide - 3 pages 2) 21 pages of color directions 3) US pattern prints on 9 pages 4) A4 pattern prints on 9 pages 5) A0 large format/print shop pattern - 1 sheet Pattern and directions are in color and will print on US letter size (8-1/2 x 11 inch) sheets or A4 international pages. You only need to download the necessary pages depending upon your location. They will need to taped together, but once assembled, the pieces are full sized and ready to use. This 1959 reproduction pattern features the designs for six different fabric flowers, in various sizes. Flowers include: 3 Roses, Carnation, Aster, Dahlia. 1/4 Yard of 44 Inch Wide Material is required for each flower. Recommended fabrics include: Velvet, Velveteen, Percale, Cotton Satin, Silk or Rayon Taffeta, Silk Organza. Use Taffeta and Velveteen for petals and leaves, and Taffeta or Chintz for bud and flower backs. Optional items may include: Fabric Stiffener, Florists or Millinery Wire, Embroidery Floss, Watercolor paints for tinting fabric. There are also recipes for homemade stiffener, however, the ingredients easily accessible in 1950, may not be as easy to locate in today's market. Many modern substitutions are available at craft stores. This McCall's pattern was originally created by Dec. 30, 1959 and has been re-digitized into it's current format.
